Falcon erected 2 Jaso J198HPA at Merchants Wharf

The multi-million pound development, which will complement the significant investment already underway in the Salford Quays district, will be known as ' Merchants Wharf', in a nod to the industrial heritage of the area.

The development, comprising of 196 state-of-the art apartments, will add further quality to the residential offer in the area. This is Legacie's first development in Great Manchester and they are looking forward to completing the project.

In January 2022, Falcon erected 2 brand new Jaso J198HPA luffing jib tower cranes, the first time this model of tower crane had ever been erected in the UK. This crane boasts a maximum capacity of 18-tonne depending on its configuration, with a maximum jib length of up to 55 metres. With a hydraulic ram being used instead of luffing ropes, it will allow the jib to park at narrow radius of 9 metres, preventing oversail outside the site boundary.
